The local shell station this evening sold premium gas (93 octane) for $3.38/gallon... and nothing else, as there were bags over all the other pumps. This induced mass hysteria as everyone drove around to every pump trying to find one without bags on it, which there weren't any. All our cars require high octane so.. I didn't really care.

Filling up the Audi: $51

Driving the thunderbird to/from work today: $3.90

Listening to the morbidly obese fat cow in the minivan next to me at the gas station call her husband to find out if she could put "v power" gasoline into the minivan (93 octane, nothing out of the ordinary, this is what the premium fuel at shell is called) and having a huge long discussion about her concerns about it ruining her engine...
