Tents

My tent failed last weekend... Can anyone recommend a good tent that will comfortably sleep 2 people on an air mattress (I have a twin or a queen air mattress)

I've noticed a lot of people using Ozark Trail and Coleman tents, and while they arn't terrible, I generally don't like to camp with anything available at Wal-mart.

I suggest looking at Kelty tents, they've never steered me wrong. Also, if you head over to REI in FFX corner they can set you up pretty well with a reccomendation based on your requirements vis-a-vis portablity, seasonability, and durability.

A lot of cheeper tents calaim to not need a ground cloth or footprint. While a lot of tents really don't NEED one, it's generally a sign of a better tent to have one. No matter how waterproof they try and make your tent, you are best off with the groundcloth hitting the actual water under you and the tent on top of that.
If leaking is a problem you have encountered in the past, I highly recommend using a ground cloth. If you don't want to buy one, get a heavy tarp from home Depot and cut it to the bottom dimensions of your tent.
