stand where I can see ya's

I notice that my eyes feel really tired as the day wears on. I probably stare at the computer screen (LCD) for.. many many hours at a time.

I remember there being a tip to help with eye strain, involving looking away at something off in the distance for 30 seconds or so once every hour.

It really works. After about 30 seconds my eyes feel a lot better.

You might want to consider installing Workrave. It's a nifty little program that times how long you've been using the computer and bugs you to take a short break if you've been at it too long.

It's done wonders for my sore wrists.

I heard it as "20 seconds every 20 minutes" actually :) I should probably get into that habit too. I often cheat by wearing weaker-than-usual glasses when computing.

Every 2 or 3 eye-breaks, you should also stand up and stretch and walk around a bit. Ge the stale blood pooling in your legs a chance to recirculate.
