CNN: Concern over radical relief group

(The full text of the article is here.)

"[The Laskar Mujahidin group's] members said Thursday they had been collecting corpses, distributing food and providing Islamic teaching for refugees in the predominantly Muslim Aceh province."
...
"But [analysts] warned that radical groups helping the relief effort would also try to stoke anti-Western sentiment -- and wait for an opportunity to attack if public support for outside help wanes."

Um. Excuse me? Sounds to me like they're doing exactly what they should be doing. Helping instead of fighting. Teaching instead of killing. Am I the only one who doesn't see a problem with this? This just shows that even people who we have declared our enemies can work side-by-side with us when disaster strikes. Let's not take this as an opportunity to poke at our enemies, but rather, as an opportunity to have better relations with them.

...ummm....
Pot calling the kettle black, I fear. We're afraid of them doing it, so we're preemptively doing it, which will OF COURSE cause the anti-Western sentiment to grow...

Something tells me that the Administration doesn't want hostilities to end. After all, if they did, then where would the public support for war be inside the US? :P

Here. Drink more of the US's kool-aid.

No, seriously-- I don't know why you even bother. I'm so confident that the US will not do anything I want it to internationally, I'm not even bothering staying up to date about what's going on. It's a joke.

Wake me up when we nuke some country, or when we get nuked ourselves.
