157 vs. 39

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/15/gaymarriage.ap/index.html

What's interesting to me about the dynamics of this situation, is that it isn't just two sides, one vs. the other. It's much more along the lines of evil vs. good. For example, the shouts of joy and success by the pro-gay-marriage folks when this was won contain a VASTLY different tone and feel than the anti-gay-marriage folks, had they won.

Very much so a good vs. evil case, IMO.

That's just it though. I don't see how they can associate hatred with being good, no matter how they try to wrap it up into religious debate.

There is DEFINITELY a strong undertone to each side of the argument. There's noone on the anti-gay side who's celebrating happyness and joy when they win in the other states. No. The expression is more like that had from a co-worker who just fucked you outo of a promotion that he instead got for himself.

No.. there's no happyness or joy .. there's merely a sense of vengeance wrought.

There's a palpable difference in emotional tone between goodness and righteousness.

Thanks, Tube. That's exactly the concept which I was searching for.
