Ohhhhh, the pain!

Went bowling Monday night. Tuesday afternoon sometime, I developed a persistent, stabbing pain in the left side of my chest, between my heart and collarbone. Yesterday I made an appointment to see the doctor this morning.

Last night, I got almost no sleep because any position I tried laying in was agonizing. This morning, I woke up with a fever (100.something)

The doctor says it's a muscle problem, not a heart problem (I know, the heart is a muscle.) It's probably not related to the bowling, according to the doctor, because I bowl right-handed.

He gave me a prescription for Norflex, told me to take Advil/Motrin every 4 hours, and to take it easy. So, I'm home from work today.

If anyone's not working today and wants to bring me lunch, I would smile for you, and be suitably grateful.

Dude. If it's a chest pain, go to the ER. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Period. Even if it turned out to not be a heart attack this time, there's no guarantee that it won't be one in the future.

The first hour of a heart attack is the time when they can do the most good. After that, damage becomes permanent.

Yeah, yeah I know, I should have gone to the ER right away, or at least called the doctor right away.. It /felt/ like a pulled muscle, though.

For some people, heart attacks feel like pulled muscles.
