This weekend was fun.

Plumbed in a utility sink in the basement. Ran cold/hot water copper to it, branched off from the washing machine setup. Plumbed in a drain and spliced it into the greywater pipe coming down from the kitchen. I'm happy to say that after several re-sweats, there are no leaks.

Weekend definitely went by rather fast ... but .. ehwell.

Swapped out around 60 gallons of water from the reef tank. Much easier now that there is a utility sink to dump it all into. :)

Here are some pics of the sink and the aquarium. Note in the pics the computer desk-- that was the project a few weeks ago. The burn marks in sink-2 were uh.. exciting. :)

Hhahhaa. Well. Actualy ....

Y'see. In the summer, it might be too warm in the basement for the tanks to maintain an 80 degree temperature. I can't let it get any higher than that and with 700 watts of lighting, believe me, it might be problematic.

So.

A "chiller" will need to be fabricated. And I just so happen to have my automobile and residential refrigration license ...

I dunno about a water cooled comp, but a refrigration unit will be in the works. :)

Y'know, you're supposed to use a sheet of flame retardant between the pipes you're sweating/brazing, and the drywall. *poke*
